Alex Phipps
Professional Qualifications
Alex Phipps joins the firm after spending the majority of his career working on state and local government legal issues.
After several years at a large law firm working in real estate and land use, Alex spent almost a decade working for state agencies in a general counsel capacity, advising public bodies on open government, legislation, and contested case proceedings. He also spent several years working as the senior legal research associate for the University of North Carolina School of Government, where he assisted professors with legal issues related to local government.
Alex has deep respect for public service and the challenges that public servants face when responding to the needs of their constituents.
