Sarah C. Ross

Professional Qualifications

Sarah C. Ross joins the firm with extensive legal experience in agency representation and government relations.  She has spent the last 12+ years with the Office of Chief Counsel for the Arkansas Department of Human Services where she served as Deputy Chief Counsel of the County Legal Operations. 

In her role as Deputy Chief Counsel, Sarah managed a team of over 100 attorneys and legal staff throughout the entire state of Arkansas, handling DCFS, APS, and OPG matters. 

She developed statewide litigation strategy for several agency divisions, managing and directing litigation, as well as facilitated and drafted proposed state legislation which she presented in committee hearings and meetings.  She also has extensive litigation experience, having represented the agency in a variety of legal proceedings.  Having served as in-house counsel, Sarah possesses a unique perspective on the inner workings of governmental agencies and their day-to-day needs.
